This is sick! 4 year-old grinding?!?!

Melissa Joan Hart graces the cover of PEOPLE magazine this week in a bikini showing off a leaner, stronger physique than her beach body last year.

The former “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” star was “horrified” by beach pictures that circled the Internet last summer, which bloggers were quick to attack. Like many people, seeing photos of herself in a bathing suit was a wake-up call that she needed to focus on fitness.

The weight was left over after giving birth to her sons Mason, 3, and 14-month-old Braydon. Melissa is honest about the fact that it took hard work and more than a year to go from 155 pounds down to her current weight of 113. “It didn’t happen by magic – it was as hard for me as it would be for anyone else,” she tells PEOPLE.

She was inspired by her mother as well as her friend and fellow actressJaime Pressly who slimmed down quickly after giving birth. “I realized I didn’t have to be heavy just because I have kids.”

Melissa’s story is not unique, but a reminder that even with young kids at home it is important to find the time to take care of yourself and your body. “I feel amazing!” she says. “I had to prove to myself that I could do it. I had to give it a go!”

This frankly makes me SICK!!! I cannot believe that this is the focus
of the COVER of this magazine. This is great, just the idea that we
need to give to young girls and women....that you are horrid, ugly,
and unacceptable if you are a LITTLE bit overweight. 155!!! I weigh
more than that by 5 pounds, have yet to have a child, and am
struggling with self acceptance everyday! The media pumps girls and
women full of garbage just like this saying that you are not
beautiful unless you weigh 105-120 lbs! Well you know what---that is
horrbile! We need to convey that true beauty is in the inside! It is
who you are as a person. You need to be within the healthy BMI for
otpimal body health but that is it! As long as it isn't affecting
your health. These are the pictures that are plastered all over
magazines, TV, movies, and billboards----guys are starting to use
this as what a women's body should look like, obesity is on the rise
in this country (sadly) and THIS is not the norm! We need to get
people to care about physical HEALTH rather than physical
APPEARANCE!! Getting women to love themselves for who they are DOES
NOT start with all this crap!!
“Melissa’s story is not unique, but a reminder that even with young kids
at home it is important to find the time to take care of yourself and
your body.”      really?? is that the message this article is sending to
young girls? I’m sorry but it looked to be that it is saying (subliminally)
“being fat is repulsive, look at that ugly picture os her fat body, you should
be like this in a bikini to be beautiful—look at THIS body!!”
THIS MAKES ME WANT TO CRY (and this isn’t even the worst of them, this is
just the straw that broke the camel’s back and make me feel the need to
blog about it!

Toddler beauty queen

This Toddlers in Tiaras show is so hard for me to accept! Having these moms parading their already beautiful young girls around in make-up…what does this teach early on?

  1. In order to be beautiful you need to wear make-up and be prettier and better than everyone else
  2. Competition and winning is everything, that’s the goal, that is what they are trying to achieve….being the prettiest?!?!
  3. You aren’t beautiful enough so we need to put you in nice clothes and cover your face in a ‘mask’ of make-up
  4. There’s no time for you to play and be a kid, you need to grow up….fast!
  5. Look shallowly into the inadequacies of others to make yourself better…

I am so sad for these children and who they are going to grow up to be…later in life it becomes even more of an issue….

  1. Following the crowd
  2. Low self-image (anorexia, bulemia, make-up always = beauty…)
  3. thin thin thin is beautiful as portrayed by the media
  4. Judgement of others for the betterment of themselves!

It’s so sad, children are beautiful, innocent, and learning and absorbing the world around them. They are growing up and carrying this over to who they are as an individual! I want to hug all these little girls, wash the make-up off their faces, but them in clothes with cartoon characters, tell them they are beautiful without all of the outwardly additions, and buy them a pony!

If children are the future, why am i so afraid? What is our world coming to?  I saw these pictures and it made me soooo sad…

God Hates… STOP right there, no need to add the rest. Does God hate anyone? NO! God is an unconditionally loving God, yet there are some people out there going to the extreme and instilling these strong hate-filled beliefs and messages of fallacy on their children. What happened to “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” –Proverbs 22:6   Is that the way God wants children to become, filled with hatred, growing up without love for others?  In the Bible is says,“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” -John 15:12   Nowhere is there ‘hate’ anything, and certainly not each other. Everyone is a sinner, and no matter how you perceive someone’s actions to be: murder, taking the Lord’s Name in vain, adultery, or stealing, or anything else, Jesus died out of immense unconditional love to forgive our sins–He loved us, just as we are to love each other!
Then we have the Rev. Ted Haggard, the Evangelical leader of a megachurch of 10,000+ people who preaches against homosexuality, coming out with the “truth” that he not only has been having sexual relations with a male prostitute every month for 3 years but also carrying allegations of using drugs.   WOW! Here is your “I love Jesus” T-shirt, but he certainly didn’t fill it! What I am saying is, nobody is perfect, nobody! If this powerful leader is sinful, then who are we to say God hates anyone? “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” -John 8:7

No one is free of sin, no one is perfect except for God, therefore, open your eyes, open your hearts, and love! God doesn’t ‘hate’ anyone, and no one is free from sin!
Hitler Child
1 month ago: Adolf Hitler Campbell, 3, with his mother Deborah of Holland Township, N.J. pose in Easton, Pa., Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008. Deborah and her husband Heath attempted to by a birthday cake for their son Adolf at a near by ShopRite supermarket in Greenwich, N.J. and were told that the store would not inscribe Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler on the cake. The Campbell’s also have two daughters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie. Yikes! Hate breeding more hate. I try not even to use the word ‘hate’ let alone raise a family under aspirations of it!
What about the opposite, ‘Brainwashing’? Let children BE children, “train them up in the way they should go”, but don’t forget that they are children. There needs to be acceptance, love, and kindness in raising children and leading others to the Lord, not telling them they are wrong and abominations–that isn’t going to get people repent. They need to use their knowledge of life, of God, to made choices, not have choices made for them. Not with threats and insults and fear, but with love, leading by example, kindness, and understanding!
Children crying and being told they are horrible people, makes me want to cry!
“The word ‘learn’ is different than indoctrinate. God gave us a brain. God gave us the freedom to choose and learning is part of that choice. Every time the fundamentalist movement interferes with that, we’re doing harm, we’re doing harm to the progression of mankind. ”   -Mike (radio guy) from Jesus Camp
 It’s not giving children a choice…
 What do you think?
